Consistency

One of the hardest lessons to learn in life is consistency...
In a world where almost NOTHING is constant, how are we supposed to be?  I'm discovering now that the easiest way to work constantly towards anything is to set realistic goals.  If your free throw percentage is 13%, it isn't very likely that you'll be shooting 80% in the near future.

Set a reasonable goal that isn't impossible for you to work towards.  Aiming too high sometimes can cause disappointments if those marks aren't set quickly enough.  Don't rush the process.  Once you get into your groove, being consistent won't seem so daunting.

Another road to consistency is having a support team to push you when you want to quit.  It's a lot easier for most people to reach for a specific goal when they're not the only ones going for the same thing.

If neither of the two suggestions work for you, you can experiment until you find your own method to success.  There are plenty of ways to be consistent, and some work better than others for each individual.

Whatever you do, just find a way to reach your goal!
